The licensing agreement with WildBrain CPLG will see the launch of branded toys and collectibles, as well as a wider consumer product range.
Heathside Trading has signed a licensing agreement with WildBrain CPLG to produce a range of toys and collectibles for WildBrain’s beloved franchises, Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake. The agreement was brokered by Kirsty Guthrie for and on behalf of Heathside Trading.
The Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake licensed lines will launch in Q2 2025 through selected retail partners in the UK and Europe. The ranges will include vinyl figures, mini and micro figures, mini environment figures, backpack clips, clip-on plush, trading cards, 2D keychains and luggage tags, adult dinner sets, silicone lights diecast, handwarmer plush sets and more.
Darren Epstein, Pop Culture EVP Global Business Development, Heathside Trading, said: “We are very focused on bringing some of the best heritage brands to market – and Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake fit that profile. So many fans grew up in the age of the original release of these properties and now want to explore collecting products from their youth. At Heathside, we want to service this customer base with some great licences and great content.”
Stacy Scimia, commercial director UK, WildBrain CPLG, said: “WildBrain’s beloved Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake are continuing to gain momentum as pop culture icons around the world. We’re already seeing huge success in China and Asia-Pacific for Teletubbies toys and collectibles aimed at Gen Z and Kidults, and for Strawberry Shortcake collectibles in the North American market. As fandom for both brands grows, it’s exciting to see consumer demand growing in the UK and Europe. We’re looking forward to product hitting the shelves next year.”
